What the buyer needs to know

Bingyu’s published 1.5 mm Crystal Velboa reference is 160 cm wide, 191.38 GSM and 306.21 g/m, with 200+ shade-card references. The 1 mm reference is also 160 cm wide but is 225.56 GSM and 360.89 g/m, with 100+ shade-card references. Pile height alone does not predict weight, so choose by the full specification and approve a physical sample.

  • Both published references are 100% polyester, knitted and 160 cm wide.
  • The shorter 1 mm reference has the higher published area and linear weight.
  • Shade-card counts describe colour references, not live stock quantities.
  • Final colour and hand feel follow the approved physical sample.

Compare the confirmed values side by side

These values come from Bingyu’s current published catalogue. They are comparison references; the written quotation and approved physical sample govern the final supply.

Do not use pile height as a shortcut for weight

The 1 mm reference is shorter in published pile height but heavier in both GSM and linear weight. This is why a buyer should compare the complete ledger instead of assuming that a longer pile must be heavier.

The figures do not by themselves determine softness, drape or suitability for a particular toy. Those decisions require the intended application and a physical review.

Evidence note GSM describes mass per unit area; g/m describes mass along the supplied width. Keep the unit attached whenever values are exchanged.

Choose the starting reference by the finished requirement

Use the 1.5 mm reference when the target brief calls for Bingyu’s lead short-pile construction and its broader recorded shade-card range. Use the 1 mm reference when its shorter pile and published weight profile better match the physical or technical brief.

This is a starting decision, not final approval. Ask for the relevant physical shade card or sample and identify any values that must be maintained during quotation.

  • Target pile appearance on the finished toy
  • Required width and weight reference
  • Existing material to match, if any
  • Shade-card reference or Pantone direction
  • Estimated full-roll order quantity

Confirm colour availability and supply route separately

The 200+ and 100+ figures are recorded shade-card reference ranges. They do not mean that every reference is currently held as ready stock. Current colour availability is confirmed during enquiry.

If an available reference does not meet the requirement, Pantone colour development can be reviewed under the made-to-order route. The custom MOQ is 10 rolls for the confirmed construction and colour, with a sample fee and buyer-paid freight.
